Rehearsals are the heart of FYJO. Each week we work on big-band repertoire, improvisation, and ensemble playing - always with an emphasis on having fun and building confidence.

What to bring

  • Your instrument (and a spare reed or strings if you use them!)
  • Enthusiasm - that’s genuinely all that’s required

Jazz Juniors - Thursdays on Zoom

For 8–12 year-olds we also run Jazz Juniors, an introduction to jazz held on Zoom every Thursday from 6:00 to 6:30 pm, just before the main rehearsal. Get in touch for the Zoom link.

New members

New members are always welcome - there are no auditions. Just come along to a Thursday rehearsal, or get in touch first if you’d like to ask anything.
