FYJO is 40 years old! You are invited to our birthday party!
You are invited to join us for the FYJO at Forty celebration event on Sunday 27th November at the Lochgelly Centre. Whether or not you are a current FYJO member, anyone still at school or college is welcome to come along.
This is a brilliant opportunity to spend a day with previous FYJO members who are now professional musicians – learning from them, playing alongside them and finding out about their careers in the music industry. Previous members who are joining us for the day include Kevin Ferris (trumpet), Tom Gordon (drums), Hilary Michael (saxophone), Eliot Murray (saxophone), Kim Macari (trumpet), Andy Hamill (bass), Andrew Gordon (piano) and many more!
Registration is at 9.30 am and we will begin playing at 10 am. The day will include full band and sectional rehearsals, a question and answer session with former players and a public concert in the Lochgelly Centre Theatre from 6 pm to 7.30. This will be given by all who have taken part in the day (FYJO members past and present and guests) and will showcase and celebrate four decades of this amazing orchestra. There is no fee for attending the FYJO at Forty day. Light refreshments will be provided, but please bring your own food for the lunch and tea break.
Tickets for the concert will be available from FYJO members from the beginning of November and also on the door. They are priced at £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and for those aged between 12 and 17 years, under 12s free.
We are grateful to the Cookie Matheson Charitable Trust for their support.

We look forward to seeing you on 27th November!
